The Roost is Coming to Sutherlin
Welcome to The Roost — a vendor marketplace and local commerce destination for North Douglas County.
We’re creating a permanent space where small businesses, farmers, makers, and food producers can showcase their goods year-round. At The Roost, you’ll find carefully sourced local products, protein-forward grab-and-go options, and handcrafted coffee — all rooted in quality and intention.

“IT IS NO BAD THING TO CELEBRATE A SIMPLE LIFE”
~J.R.R TOLKIEN
A Glimpse of What’s to Come…
Local Goods
At The Roost, the goal is to showcase a rotating collection of farm-grown, handmade, and small-batch items — everything from pasture-raised eggs and herbal teas to tallow balms, produce, and simple household goods. We’re building a space that supports local makers and growers, where neighbors can connect through what they create and grow.
Coffee Bar
The Roost café is being thoughtfully planned to offer drinks and snacks made with clean, whole ingredients — no artificial syrups, no shortcuts. The vision includes coffee, teas, smoothies made with raw honey and real fruit, and a selection of grab-and-go, protein-forward options like Greek yogurt bowls, energy bites, and other nutrient-dense items that reflect our roots in nutrition and wellness.
Community Focused
More than just a place to shop or grab a drink, The Roost is being designed as a gathering space — a welcoming environment that celebrates rural living, intentional choices, and small-town connection. A modern mercantile with a front-porch feel.

About Haley
Haley McCaskill Keady is a Certified Wellness Coach, Certified Nutritionist, and the founder of The Roost Mercantile & Café. A Douglas County native and Sutherlin grad, Haley’s passion for wellness began in her early 20s after navigating her own health challenges and realizing she wanted more than the disconnected, fast-paced lifestyle common in her generation.
That path led her to co-found Revive Infusions & Wellness with her mom, Chanelle McCaskill, PA-C, where she earned multiple certifications and helped develop their wellness coaching programs. She continues to support clients at Revive today, blending functional nutrition with realistic, sustainable strategies.
Over time, Haley recognized a gap in North Douglas County—a need for a curated vendor marketplace focused on clean goods, local commerce, and intentional community. The Roost is her answer to that need: a space built with purpose, rooted in values that matter, and designed to support both local makers and mindful consumers.
“I am beginning to learn that it is the sweet, simple things of life which are the real ones after all.”
— Laura Ingalls Wilder
