Who We Are & What We’re Building at The Roost
The Roost Mercantile & Café was created with one thing in mind: to bring something meaningful and needed to North Douglas County. We’re building more than just a place to shop or grab coffee — we’re creating a space grounded in wellness, local values, and real connection.
Founder Haley McCaskill Keady, a Certified Wellness Coach and Nutritionist, saw firsthand through her work at Revive Infusions & Wellness how much access matters — access to better food, cleaner products, and a lifestyle that supports health. Over time, that passion began expanding beyond one-on-one coaching and toward something more visible, more tangible, and more rooted in community.
The Roost is that next step. It’s a commerce hub where high-quality, local-first goods meet clean coffee, nourishing food, and thoughtfully curated offerings. Alongside her two close friends, Taylor Smalley and Shelby Lehman — both of whom share her passion for clean living, motherhood, and intentional, slow-paced lifestyles — Haley has been shaping The Roost to reflect what they always felt was missing from their own hometown.
What is The Roost, really?
It’s a little bit of everything — local goods, nourishing food, a place to gather. The Roost brings together the pieces that make a town feel like home.

Local eggs and produce
Tallow, apothecary, and housewares
Coffee without seed oils, real fruit smoothies, herb-forward drinks
Protein snacks, yogurt bowls, nourishing grab-and-go items
Azure Standard retail and pickup
Sourdough, raw honey, local meats, milk, and farm-fresh eggs
Refillery items, plants and starts, vintage and cottage-core finds
A sit-down coffee bar and event space rentals for things like wreath making, create-and-sip nights, and seasonal gatherings
Why here, and why now?
Because this community deserves it. Haley grew up here. She knows the challenge of trying to live well in a small town with limited options. Sutherlin and the surrounding area have needed something like this for a long time — not another fast food place, not more tacos and pizza, not another junk store, but something real. Something intentional. The Roost is our answer to that need.
What’s next?
We’re currently curating vendors, designing the space, and shaping every detail to reflect our mission. We’re aiming to open in Spring 2026 and will be sharing behind-the-scenes updates, vendor highlights, and sneak peeks along the way.
